 2003    THE RAFTER M RANCH

This CAA Trail Ride near San Juan Capistrano was the second time the members and guests were on this historic coastal southern California ranch; the first being in 1990. Newest CAA member, John Coleman of Prescott, Arizona was on his first ride, and ride he did. As always, the hosts provided the riders with great mounts, especially for the team sorting and roping held on Thursday afternoon. Rancho Mission Viejo is a jewel in the midst of the southern coastal communities. In May the ranch is a veritable splendor of color. Warm sunny afternoons give way to cool ocean breezes, making a fire a very welcome place to gather after dinner. NPR celebrity Baxter Black joined the CAs and entertained the gathering of wives and friends at the Thursday evening dinner.

Hosts: Alice Avery, Richard O'Neill, Tony Moiso and Gil Aguirre
