Grand Opening Celebration

July 23rd The Phippen Museum hosted a Grand Opening celebration of their new 10,000 sq. ft. addition, featuring the Kemper & Ethel Marley Western Art Gallery, which coincided with three exhibition openings.  The, Local Color exhibition features artwork from ten of the most skilled Prescott area Western artists, including CAA Members John Coleman, Bill Nebeker and Dave Powell.  Native Myths and Legends, features the work of Doug Hyde and Alvin Marshall, and the third exhibition features the long-awaited sculpture collection by Prescott’s own Bucky O’Neil artist, Solon Borglum.  If you have an opportunity to attend, don't miss these great exhibitions, as well as a chance to see the beautiful Phippen Museum, built in honor of one of the Founding Father's of the Cowboy Artists of America, George Phippen.
