Longtime CAA member Fritz White passed away on April 11, 2010. White joined the CAA in 1972 after honing his skills as a sculptor in the American West. His passion and drive brought him great success in Loveland, Colo., and beyond, where he leaves a legacy in bronze, marble and stone.
Over the years at the CAA Sale & Exhibition, White won three Best of Show medals, one watercolor medal and ten medals in sculpture. He transitioned to Emeritus status with the CAA in 2005.
“Fritz raised the bar in sculpture for not only the CAA, but for all the other art shows,” says CAA President Fred Fellows. “He was always ready to help any artist. He loved the town of Loveland and was a cornerstone of its annual sculpture show.”
Members of the CAA will dearly miss White and send their sincerest condolences to his family.
